- Robert Burns, Author
- Object Number:
This letter follows on from previous correspondence between Burns and Miller concerning Burns's interest in the lease of Ellisland Farm. The farm was part of the Dalswinton estate owned by Miller.
In the letter, Burns writes that he has just finished his Highland Tour and is now interested in leaving Edinburgh to begin farming again. He discusses with Miller the possibility of taking up the lease at Ellisland now that his business with publisher William Creech is nearing an end.
Robert also encloses two poems, 'To Miss Isabella Macleod' and 'On the death of Sir J. Hunter Blair'.
